Data Sources & Freshness
Where the data comes from
TraceFast ingests Ethereum directly from the network's primary sources — full node data processed as blocks are produced. Everything you see derives from on-chain truth: blocks, transactions, traces, logs, and state changes. Labels add an interpretation layer on top (see Labels & Entities), and label-derived views say so explicitly.
Freshness by view
| View | Freshness |
|---|---|
| Live Dashboard — Overview | Every block (~12 s), aggregated over a rolling ~19-minute window |
| Block KPIs, Transaction Economics | The single latest block, refreshed every block |
| Network, Gas & Blobs, Storage tabs | Daily aggregates over the selected period |
| Explorer pages | Current chain state at page load |
| DeFi views | 24-hour KPIs and daily aggregates; pool registry updated continuously |
Measured vs. estimated
Where a number is derived rather than directly observed, TraceFast marks it: the fact / est. badges in the transaction drawer are the visible form of that policy. When something is pending (like a blob fee not yet finalized), it's shown as pending — not guessed.
