DeFi Overview
DeFi is two levels of navigation, not one. Knowing which level you're on is the difference between finding a view in one click and hunting for it.

The four sections
The hub strip at the top of every DeFi page switches between four sections:

Opening DeFi from the main navigation lands on DEX → Pools — the busiest view, and the section's de facto home.
The DEX tabs
DEX is the only section with a second level. Three tabs share one header:
- Pools (
/defi/dex/pools) — pool observability: TVL, volume, trending and new pools. See Pools & Liquidity. - Tokens (
/defi/dex/tokens) — tokens ranked by DEX volume. See DEX & Tokens. - Market (
/defi/dex) — the aggregate: volume, swap count, and protocol market share. See DEX & Tokens.
Pool sub-views (TVL · Volume · Trending · New Pools) sit a level below that, inside the Pools tab.
Drill-down pages
Each section opens onto detail pages that carry their own chrome — no hub strip, because you've left the browsing level:

DEX views used to live at flat paths — /defi/tokens, /defi/pools, /defi/pools/0x…. Those now redirect permanently to their /defi/dex/… equivalents, so saved links and bookmarks keep resolving. New links should use the /defi/dex/… form.

Two things called "Protocols"
They are different views and it is worth keeping them apart:
- DEX protocol dashboards (
/defi/dex/protocols/<protocol>) — volume, swaps and pool counts for one exchange, reached by clicking a protocol in Protocol Market Share. - The Protocols section (
/defi/protocols) — a directory of DeFi protocols, each with the contracts TraceFast knows belong to it, well beyond exchanges.
