Protocols

Open protocols in TraceFast →

Protocols is the fourth DeFi section (/defi/protocols). It is a directory: DeFi protocols — lending, staking, bridges, oracles and more, well beyond exchanges — each with the number of contracts TraceFast knows belong to it. Where the market-wide DEX & Tokens rollup tells you how much trades on an exchange, Protocols tells you which addresses are a protocol's own.

:::tip Sign-in required (free account) Like all of DeFi, Protocols is for signed-in users. Signed out, the page asks you to sign in or create an account; see Account & Security for how sign-in works. :::

How to read it

  • The list ranks protocols by how many of their contracts TraceFast knows, under the column Addresses.
  • A protocol page (/defi/protocols/<slug>) lists those contracts by name — for Lido, its staking router, oracles, withdrawal queue, the stETH and wstETH tokens and the rest. Each name opens the contract's entity page. Long lists page with Newer / Older.

Use it to check whether an address you met in a trace is a protocol's own contract, or to see a protocol's full on-chain footprint before you dig into one of its contracts.

Not the same as a DEX protocol dashboard

Two views carry the word protocol, and they answer different questions:

Protocols sectionDEX protocol dashboard
URL/defi/protocols, /defi/protocols/<slug>/defi/dex/protocols/<protocol>
ScopeThe contracts that belong to a protocol, beyond exchangesTrading activity for one exchange
Reached fromThe DeFi hub stripProtocol Market Share on the Market tab

If you need Uniswap's or Curve's volume, swaps and pool counts, use the DEX protocol dashboard.
