Storage Analytics

Storage tab

What it shows

The Storage tab tracks how Ethereum's state grows and who grows it, over 7, 30, 90 days, or all time:

  • Total Writes — storage writes per day, with KPIs for unique contracts touched and average call depth
  • Write Composition — writes split by how they happened: direct calls, delegatecall (proxy patterns), or contract creation
  • Average Call Depth — how deeply nested the calls performing writes are; rising depth means more composed, router-driven activity
  • Unique Contracts & Slots — breadth of state being touched
  • Top Contracts / Cleanup Leaders — a sortable table of the heaviest state writers (writes, unique slots, callers, delegatecall share, max depth, active range) and, on the second tab, the contracts freeing the most storage

How to read it

Storage is Ethereum's scarcest long-term resource. The table answers "who is growing the state": WETH and USDT lead by sheer usage, while entries like XEN Crypto stand out by design choices. A 100% delegatecall share (like USDC) marks proxy architectures. Cleanup Leaders is the rare positive column — contracts clearing slots and shrinking state.
