One transaction

Open this transaction in TraceFast →

One transaction by hash: sender, recipient, value, nonce, type, gas limit and gas used, the fee fields of its type and the price actually paid per gas, the receipt's outcome and log count, and its position — block and index. It is served from seconds after inclusion. New to transactions and gas? See transactions and gas on ethereum.org.

Access — an API key on the Enriched Data plan or higher (plans), or no key at all: pay per call with x402 at the same path on https://mpp.tracefast.xyz/api/v1, at the price its 402 states. As a tool for AI agents: get_transaction on the MCP server. Stable — see stability.

chains/1 is a literal: the method serves Ethereum mainnet data. Other chain ids answer 404 chain_not_supported. There are no query parameters — an unknown one is refused rather than ignored.

What it covers, and what it does not

  • The transaction and its receipt's outcome. Not the calls it made — that is the execution trace — and not the events it emitted — that is event logs of a transaction.
  • Not the input itself. methodId and inputSize describe it; the trace carries calldata heads on request.
  • status absent means "not known yet", never "failed". It appears once the receipt is available.

FieldMeaning
chainId1, Ethereum mainnet
hashtransaction hash, lowercase
blockNumber, txIndexthe block that includes it and its index within that block
timestampUnix time of the block, seconds
fromsender
torecipient. Absent for a contract creation
valueWeiETH transferred, wei, decimal string
methodIdthe first four bytes of the input — the function selector of a contract call. Absent when the input is shorter than four bytes
inputSizesize of the input, bytes
noncethe sender's nonce
txType0 legacy, 1 EIP-2930, 2 EIP-1559, 3 EIP-4844 blob, 4 EIP-7702
gasLimit, gasUsedgas limit and gas used by the receipt, decimal strings
gasPricedeclared gas price, wei — legacy and EIP-2930 types only
maxFeePerGas, maxPriorityFeePerGasthe EIP-1559 fee caps, wei — absent on types that do not carry them
effectiveGasPricethe price actually paid per gas, wei. Absent only while the block's base fee is not yet available
status1 success, 0 failure. Absent while the receipt is not yet available
logCountreceipt logs. Absent where not yet recorded; a log-less transaction is an honest 0

The fee actually paid is gasUsed × effectiveGasPrice, in wei.

Errors

StatuscodeWhendetails
400bad_requestthe hash is not 0x plus 64 hex charactersreason: tx_hash_invalid
404not_foundno transaction with this hash is known—
422block_not_availablethe hash is unknown while recent blocks are in a coverage gap — the transaction may sit in it, so the API does not claim it does not exist; ask again laterreason: coverage_gap, coverageGapFromBlock, coverageGapToBlock, maxAvailableBlock

Malformed input, unknown parameters and the key check's 401/403/429 are the same for every method — see conventions and API keys.
